PTO One and Only Fundraiser Reminder
We are mid-way through our One And Only Fundraiser. If you have already donated we thank you for your generosity. Your support helps provide numerous unique and meaningful opportunities for students here at OSMS. They will carry the benefits of these experiences with them long past their middle school years.
If making a donation has slipped your mind, there's still time!

You can label an envelope "One and Only Fundraiser" and send a check into the school office made payable to OSMS PTO.
The One and Only Fundraiser allows us to avoid all other annual fundraising activities (with the exception of the upcoming Pie Sale). We are asking for you to estimate the amount you would annually spend on Middle School fundraising activities (such as gift wrap, magazines, candy, etc.) and donate it to the OSMS PTO instead. On average, schools only receive 20-30% profit back from fundraising companies, so we are so excited that 100% of your contribution will go directly into supporting OSMS students and faculty. We don't want to go back to continuous fund raising, so please help us maintain this One and Only Fundraiser by mailing your donation today! Thank you!

Tools for Parents Regarding Social Media Use

GoEnnounce 

In collaboration with the PTO, Old Saybrook Middle School has identified a need to support parents with adolescent social media use and digital citizenship. GoEnnounce is a company that provides short videos to help parents navigate the technology their children are using. 

Topics include the following:

Digital footprints and safe social media use

Health safety and wellness

Digital etiquette

Digital literacy and communication

Digital commerce 

Cyber bullying

This year we plan to invite parents in to discuss some of these technology related topics.
