Old Saybrook Public Schools

The Old Saybrook Board of Education has launched a new ad hoc Communications Committee.  The main focus of the committee is to fulfill the duty of the Board to keep the citizens of Old Saybrook informed about public education in the town. In addition, the committee plans to send out regular communications about the Board of Education’s roles, activities, and decisions. Membership includes Board Chair Karen Brodeur, Board Members Jordan Schellens, Joseph Maselli, and Eileen Baker, and is chaired by Board Vice Chair Marijke Kehrhahn. 

The committee has launched a new Board of Education webpage designed to make information about the Board and its work more accessible and current. The new web page offers information on the roles and responsibilities of the Board, an easy to navigate display of Board meeting agendas, materials, and media, and instructions on how to join a Board meeting. In addition, the website presents material on Board committees, Board policies, and Board members as well as current documents on the budget and strategic plan. 

The Board of Education appreciates the work of Trent Gerbers and Jeff Chong on the website’s organization, construction, and launch.
