Old Saybrook Public Schools is proud to recognize fifth grade student Austyn Labelle as this year’s recipient of the Josephine M. Marcolini Memorial School Award.
The award honors the memory of Josephine M. Marcolini, a former Old Saybrook fifth grade teacher, by recognizing a student who reflects the qualities, values, and educational standards she represented throughout her career.
Each year, the recipient is selected by a committee of educators and must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, good citizenship, and overall academic achievement within the school community. The award is provided by the Marcolini Family and has been presented for more than 40 years.
Austyn’s recognition reflects the positive impact he has made as a student, classmate, and member of the Old Saybrook school community.
