What does it take to be ready when you discover what you really want to do?

Perna encouraged students to create their own competitive advantage through the accumulation of academic, technical, and personal skills. It was a powerful connection to the work happening throughout OSPS as students explore their interests, strengthen their skills, and begin thinking about the paths they may choose beyond school.

Welch, who raises grass-fed cattle in southeastern Connecticut and is also co-owner of Bridge and Graze Burgers, shared his experience with students and gave them another opportunity to connect what they are learning in the classroom with careers and possibilities beyond it.
Food Services Director Erin Perpetua joined Groton’s Food Service Director and UConn Extension at the Connecticut State Building to highlight Farm to School programs and connect with families from across New England.
It was a great opportunity to share the work happening in Old Saybrook and show how local food, agriculture, and our schools can come together to create meaningful experiences for students.
