Last night, fourth graders and their families came together to celebrate their move to the middle school with a brand new tradition at Goodwin. Fourth Grade Family Night was a fun and meaningful evening that gave our students a moment to shine before their next big adventure.

Goodwin student Josemy Astudillo Castaneda created a beautiful watercolor painting of the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center as part of our recent "Land That We Love" exhibit at the Westbrook Shoreline Medical Center gallery. One of the Kate's board members saw his work there, and requested a print for the theater, where it is now proudly on display.
Celebrate Saybrook is coming! The street party of the year will be on Sunday, June 22, from 1:30-6:00 PM!
Old Saybrook Boys Lacrosse defeats Canton 9-7. The team will play at Somers this Saturday. Time is TBD.

Old Saybrook High School students Tenzin Choedhar and Everett Miller were recently recognized by the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education (CABE) with a Student Leadership Award.
Students are nominated to receive this award by their school principal. Students nominated exhibit the following leadership skills: willingness to take on challenges, capability to make difficult decisions, concern for others, ability to work with others, willingness to commit to a project, diplomacy, ability to understand issues clearly, and ability to honor a commitment.
